De Subaru Impreza met startnummer 2 nam in 1999 deel aan het Circuit of Ireland Rally, een manche in het British Rally Championship. Ingezet door Fisher Engineering en bestuurd door Bertie Fisher met navigator Rory Kennedy. De auto viel op door de zilvergrijze basiskleur met opvallende gele accenten, gesponsord door Tough Mac en Subaru Ireland.
Onder de motorkap lag een 2.0-liter turbomotor met viercilinder boxerlayout en permanente vierwielaandrijving. Het betrof een door Prodrive gebouwde Impreza S5 WRC, uitgerust met rallyspecifieke elementen zoals lichtgewicht OZ Racing-velgen, versterkte rolkooi en verstralers voor nachtetappes.
Fisher en Kennedy finishten als tweede algemeen tijdens het Circuit of Ireland 1999, achter Mark Higgins. Dankzij dit resultaat verstevigden zij hun positie in het British Rally Championship en stonden ze na afloop van deze ronde tweede in de tussenstand.
