De MG Metro 6R4 met startnummer 18 werd tijdens de Rally Legend 2019 bestuurd door Craig Breen, met Paul Hassett als copiloot. Het duo reed voor het BRC Racing Team. Deze editie van de Rally Legend vond plaats op de smalle en technische asfaltwegen van San Marino, waar diverse Groep B-auto’s aan de start verschenen.
De Metro 6R4 beschikte over een atmosferische 3.0-liter V6-motor, centraal geplaatst voor een optimale gewichtsverdeling. Vierwielaandrijving zorgde voor uitstekende tractie op het wisselende wegdek. Het model viel op door de brede carrosserie, forse spoilers en de Martini-striping, typerend voor het Groep B-tijdperk.
Breen en Hassett eindigden binnen de top tien in het eindklassement van de historische Groep B-categorie. Omdat Rally Legend een demonstratie-evenement is zonder officieel FIA-kampioenschap, telde de uitslag niet mee voor een seizoensstand. De prestatie bevestigde wel de veelzijdigheid van Breen in klassiek rallymateriaal.
