De Subaru Impreza S6 met startnummer 12 werd ingezet tijdens de Jim Clark Memorial Rally 2002. Anthony Nesbitt en navigator James O'Brien kwamen uit voor McKinstry Motorsport en wonnen deze asfaltrally. De wagen had een witte basis met rood-blauwe grafische elementen en sponsorlogo's van Cuisine de France, Toshiba, Subaru Ireland en Pirelli.
Onder de motorkap bevond zich een 2.0-liter turbomotor met viercilinder boxertechniek. De Subaru beschikte over permanente vierwielaandrijving, actieve differentiëlen en een sequentiële versnellingsbak. De ophanging was afgestemd op smalle asfaltwegen met hoge snelheden. Deze configuratie maakte de wagen populair bij Ierse privéteams zoals McKinstry Motorsport.
In het Iers rallykampioenschap van 2006 bleef de Impreza S6 in competitie, maar zonder podiumresultaten in het eindklassement. De overwinning in de Jim Clark Memorial Rally 2002 blijft het meest memorabele resultaat voor dit chassis met Nesbitt en O'Brien aan het stuur.
De 1:18 miniatuur van Sun-Star reproduceert deze wagen met oog voor detail. De correcte belettering, rallynummer 12, velgen, lichtunits, luchthappers en cockpit zijn nauwkeurig nagemaakt. Ideaal voor verzamelaars van Ierse rallywagens of liefhebbers van Subaru rallygeschiedenis.
