Tijdens de Trackrod Historic Cup & Land Rover Challenge 2016 verscheen de Opel Ascona 400 met startnummer 29 aan de start, ingezet door het team van Viking Motorsport. Achter het stuur zat Stig Blomqvist, met Craig Thorley als navigator. De rally vond plaats in de bossen van Noord-Yorkshire, op 30 september en 1 oktober 2016.
De Opel Ascona 400 was actief in de klasse H3. Blomqvist en Harryman reden constant in de top van het veld en finishten uiteindelijk als tweede in hun klasse en vijfde algemeen. Deze prestatie leverde waardevolle punten op in het kampioenschap. Na afloop van deze manche bezette het duo de derde plaats in de tussenstand van de Trackrod Historic Cup 2016.
