De Porsche 911 GT3 Cup met startnummer 78 waarmee Ryan Yardley in 2025 de Porsche Carrera Cup North America (Pro) kampioen werd, stond het hele seizoen in de kleuren van Topp Racing. De titelstrijd bleef tot de laatste ronde open, maar in het slotweekend op Circuit of the Americas maakte auto #78 het verschil door beide races te winnen. Daarmee werd de kampioenswinst in een veld met veel vaste namen en een lange kalender van 16 races beslist op pure puntenopbouw en een sterke finish.
Technisch ging het om de Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), de cupauto die in deze klasse als basis dient. De aandrijving is een 4,0-liter zescilinder boxer die via een sequentiële transmissie de achterwielen aandrijft. Het concept draait om een voorspelbare balans en constante rem- en bandentemperaturen, omdat het tempo in een one-make serie vooral ontstaat uit rijstijl, afstelling en foutloos gebruik van het pakket over twee races per weekend.
In 2025 liet auto #78 zien hoe belangrijk kwalificatie en ritme zijn: poleposities en overwinningen leverden de punten die nodig waren om richting de finale als titelkandidaat te blijven tellen.
