Tijdens de Ravenol Spa 24 Hours van 2025 kwam de #48 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO van Mercedes-AMG Team MANN-FILTER (Winward Racing) met Maro Engel, Matteo Cairoli en Lucas Auer sterk uit de startblokken. De auto vertrok vanaf P5 en hield zich lange tijd staande in de voorste groep. Na een etmaal racen werd de #48 als tiende algemeen afgevlagd op 548 ronden – tevens de hoogst geklasseerde Mercedes-AMG in de einduitslag.
De Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO wordt aangedreven door de 6,2-liter M159-V8 zonder turbo, gekoppeld aan achterwielaandrijving en een sequentiële zesversnellingsbak. Op de door het reglement voorgeschreven Pirelli-banden liet de #48 vooral constant tempo en nette stintverdeling zien. Hoofdsponsor MANN-FILTER gaf de wagen zijn herkenbare uitstraling, terwijl de crew het service-werk zonder noemenswaardige misstappen uitvoerde.
Het trio Engel/Cairoli/Auer bouwde het resultaat op met beheerste pitcycli en stabiele nachtritten. Ondanks stevige concurrentie en wisselende fases met neutralisaties bleef de #48 binnen striking distance van de kopgroep en nam waardevolle kampioenschapspunten mee uit Spa. Voor liefhebbers markeert dit optreden een solide referentie voor de Mercedes-AMG-campagne in de Endurance Cup van 2025.
