Tijdens de Ravenol Spa 24 Hours van 2025 leverde de #96 Porsche 911 GT3 R een indrukwekkende prestatie door als tweede te eindigen in de grootste GT3-race ter wereld. De wagen werd ingezet door Rutronik Racing en bemand door Sven Müller, Patric Niederhauser en Alessio Picariello. Vanaf een vijftiende startpositie begon het team aan een lange inhaalrace waarin vooral constant rijden en een strakke strategie de sleutel waren.
De Porsche 911 GT3 R, aangedreven door de atmosferische zescilinder boxermotor, toonde zijn betrouwbaarheid gedurende de volledige 24 uur. Het drietal wist zich gedurende de nacht naar voren te werken en pakte zelfs kortstondig de leiding dankzij een goed getimede pitstop tijdens een neutralisatie. In de slotfase bleef de strijd met de Lamborghini #63 spannend, maar na 24 uur racen kwam de Porsche op minder dan tien seconden verschil als tweede over de streep.
Spark brengt dit resultaat naar de vitrinekast met een schaalmodel in 1:43. Het model toont de #96 Porsche 911 GT3 R precies zoals Müller, Niederhauser en Picariello hem bestuurden in Spa 2025.
