De Tour de Corse 1992 (Rallye de France) werd verreden van 03-05-1992 t/m 06-05-1992 en werd gewonnen door startnummer 3, de Lancia Delta HF Integrale van Didier Auriol en Bernard Occelli. Op Corsica draaide het zoals altijd om ritme en precisie op smalle asfaltwegen, met weinig marge voor fouten en veel invloed van bandentemperatuur en remmen. Auriol en Occelli reden een constante rally en hielden de druk van achtervolgers tot het einde onder controle.
De auto was een Group A Lancia Delta HF Integrale “Evo” met een 2,0-liter viercilinder turbomotor en vierwielaandrijving. Op de Tour de Corse is dat pakket vooral sterk door tractie uit krappe haarspelden en stabiliteit op snelle secties die elkaar direct opvolgen. De aanpak was gericht op vloeiend rijden en het vermijden van oververhitting en overmatige bandenslijtage, omdat het asfalt op Corsica de auto continu “aan het werk” zet.
In de einduitslag bleef #3 voor François Delecour (Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4) en Philippe Bugalski (Lancia Delta HF Integrale). De rally kreeg daarnaast een uitzonderlijke context: de slotfase werd beïnvloed door het drama in Furiani bij Bastia op 05-05-1992, waarna de resterende proeven werden geschrapt. Daardoor werd het resultaat in belangrijke mate bepaald door wat eerder in de rally was opgebouwd, en dat voordeel lag bij Auriol en Occelli.
