De Mahindra Racing #21 stond in 2025 in Formula E voor Nyck de Vries. In het kalenderjaar viel dat samen met twee contexten: de slotfase van het 2024/25-seizoen (Season 11) en de start van 2025/26 (Season 12) in december. Mahindra hield daarbij vast aan een stabiele basis in de rijdersbezetting, met de Vries als vaste waarde op #21 en een programma dat zichtbaar op continuïteit en puntenbouw was gericht.
Technisch reed Mahindra in deze periode met de Mahindra M11Electro binnen de Gen3 Evo-regels, waarbij het basisplatform in de klasse grotendeels gestandaardiseerd is, maar de prestaties vooral worden gemaakt door powertrain-afstemming, software, energiemanagement en regeneratiestrategie. Voor #21 draaide het daarom om het beperken van energieverlies in verkeer, het plannen van Attack Mode-momenten en het bewaken van temperaturen tijdens lange stints op stratencircuits.
Een concreet feit uit 2025 is dat de #21 in het Berlijnse double-headerweekend eenmalig door een andere rijder werd bestuurd: Felipe Drugovich nam daar plaats in de auto vanwege een agenda-conflict van de Vries die voor Toyota Gazoo rijdt in het WEC. Dat soort wissels onderstreept hoe strak het Formula E-programma is, en hoe belangrijk het voor een team is dat de set-up en procedures rond één startnummer zó staan dat een auto inzetbaar blijft, ook wanneer de bezetting tijdelijk verandert.
