De DS PENSKE #7 stond in 2025 voor het stuurwerk van Maximilian Günther. In kalenderjaar 2025 liep dat samen met de aanloop naar Formula E Season 12 (2025/26), waarin DS PENSKE met Günther als vaste waarde en een nieuwe teamgenoot een nieuw hoofdstuk begon. De teamauto voor die fase werd door Formula E aangeduid als de DS E-TENSE FE25.
De kern van de #7 is de elektrische aandrijving van DS Performance binnen het Gen3 Evo-tijdperk. Het platform is in grote lijnen gestandaardiseerd binnen Formula E, maar de prestatiedetails komen vooral uit powertrain, software en energiemanagement. Voor Günther betekent dat dat races worden beslist op het juiste ritme in verkeer, het plannen van Attack Mode-momenten en het beperken van energieverlies bij neutralisaties en herstarts.
Uiterlijk bleef DS PENSKE in 2025 herkenbaar met de zwart-gouden uitvoering, met aangepaste accenten voor Season 12. Daarmee was de #7 in de startfase van het nieuwe seizoen een duidelijke teamreferentie: een vaste rijder, een doorontwikkelde FE25 en een aanpak waarin efficiëntie en strategie net zo zwaar wegen als rondetijd.
