Tijdens de 24 uur van Le Mans 2025 werd AF-Corse vertegenwoordigd in de LMP2-klasse met de Oreca 07 Gibson #183. Het team kwam uit in de Pro/Am-categorie met een rijderstrio bestaande uit António Félix da Costa, François Perrodo en Matthieu Vaxivière. De inschrijving viel onder het ELMS-programma van het team en werd geklasseerd onder Franse licentie. Met een uitgebalanceerde samenstelling van professionele en semiprofessionele coureurs richtte AF-Corse zich op een constante en foutloze race.
De Oreca 07 beschikt over een atmosferische 4,2-liter Gibson GK428 V8-motor, gekoppeld aan een sequentiële zesversnellingsbak van Xtrac. Het chassis is opgebouwd uit koolstofvezelcomposiet en ontworpen voor maximale stijfheid en minimale massa. De aerodynamica is geoptimaliseerd voor langeafstandsraces, met een lage neus, grote diffuser en instelbare achtervleugel. Op de #183 waren onder meer de logo’s van Shell en Richard Mille zichtbaar, terwijl Goodyear de bandenspecificaties leverde.
Het team kende een stabiele wedstrijd zonder noemenswaardige incidenten. Dankzij het strategisch inzetten van ervaring en uithoudingsvermogen slaagde het trio erin de volledige raceafstand te voltooien. Hoewel het niet leidde tot een podiumpositie in de Pro/Am-klasse, leverde AF-Corse een prestatie die betrouwbaarheid en samenwerking onderstreepte. De auto handhaafde zich consistent in het middenveld van de LMP2-deelnemers.
Sparkmodel brengt in het vierde kwartaal van 2025 een gedetailleerd schaalmodel van deze #183 uit in 1:43. Het model is nauwkeurig uitgevoerd in de correcte kleurstelling en toont de technische kenmerken van de Oreca 07 zoals deze tijdens de race in juni verscheen. Zowel het carrosseriewerk als de plaatsing van de sponsorlogo’s zijn zorgvuldig nagebootst.
