De #25 Oreca 07-Gibson van Algarve Pro Racing startte in juni 2025 op de 24 Uur van Le Mans met een gezelschap dat ervaring combineert met jong talent. Het trio bestaat uit de Liechtensteiner Matthias Kaiser, de Spanjaard Lorenzo Fluxá en de Fransman Théo Pourchaire. Dit LMP2-Pro-Am team verdiende deelname met de titel in de Asian Le Mans Series 2024-25 en pakte eerder in Imola al sterke rondetijden binnen de klasse.
Matthias Kaiser, actief sinds 2025 in de European Le Mans Series, wist met Algarve Pro Racing al meerdere keren op het podium te finishen. Lorenzo Fluxá vervoegde het team eerder in 2025 en bracht ervaring uit ELMS, met een FIA-Gold licentie voor dit seizoen. Théo Pourchaire, recent F2-kampioen 2023 en Peugeot-test- en ontwikkelingscoureur, maakt zijn Le Mans-debuut in de LMP2-klasse en leverde sterke kwalificatienummers af in Imola.
De Oreca 07 is alom gebruikt in LMP2; het chassis met Gibson V8-motor staat bekend om betrouwbaarheid en prestaties sinds 2017. Algarve Pro Racing zette met #25 een solide seizoen neer, gekenmerkt door consistentie en snelheid in Azië en Europa.
Op Le Mans zelf kwam #25 binnen de LMP2 Pro-Am-klasse naar voren als serieuze uitdager, met een ritme dat fabrieksteams benaderde. Een lichte aanvaring in een slow zone halverwege de race beïnvloedde de wedstrijd niet onherstelbaar, maar onderstreepte de spanning bij codegele omstandigheden.
