De Oreca 07 Gibson #18 van IDEC Sport verscheen aan de start van de 24 Uur van Le Mans 2025 in de LMP2-klasse. Het Franse team bracht een bemanning van drie uiteenlopende rijders mee, waaronder de ervaren André Lotterer. De Duitse Belg keerde terug naar Le Mans na eerdere successen met Audi. Hij werd vergezeld door de jonge Fransman Mathys Jaubert en de Britse Jamie Chadwick, die haar debuut maakte op Circuit de la Sarthe.
De Oreca 07 is uitgerust met een 4,2-liter V8 Gibson-motor, die sinds 2017 de standaard is binnen het LMP2-reglement. De auto is voorzien van een sequentiële versnellingsbak, een koolstofvezel monocoque en wordt op Le Mans ingezet met Goodyear-banden. Voor IDEC Sport diende deze deelname ook als voorbereiding op hun geplande LMDh-programma.
Tijdens de kwalificatie reed Lotterer solide tijden, terwijl Jaubert verrassend competitief bleek in de nachttraining. Chadwick reed haar stints zonder fouten, maar het team moest de race halverwege staken vanwege een probleem met de wielophanging rechtsachter. De zusterauto #28 van IDEC Sport kende een vergelijkbaar lot.
