De Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 met startnummer 63 wordt in Le Mans 2025 ingezet door Iron Lynx. Deze derde wagen is door de Italiaanse equipe ingeschreven na de LMGT3-titel in de European Le Mans Series 2024. De bolide draagt een speciale ‘Silver Arrow’-livery, ontworpen als eerbetoon aan de gloriejaren van Mercedes op La Sarthe in 1989. De zilveren carrosserie met gekleurde spiegels is een stijlvol historisch terugblik, zonder poespas.
De rijdersbezetting bestaat uit het Australische vader-zoon duo Stephen en Brenton Grove en Mercedes-AMG fabriekspiloot Luca Stolz. Voor zowel Stephen als Brenton is het hun Le Mans-debuut; Stolz voegt ervaring toe met meerdere WEC-starten. De #63-auto mocht starten ondanks beperkte nachturen van Stephen, omdat Stolz de race opstart en tijdens protesten deze voorwaarde is vastgelegd. Helaas crashte Stephen tijdens de eerste vrije training in de Dunlop-chicane, met flinke schade en een complete chassiswissel tot gevolg.
Iron Lynx is een succesvol Italiaans team onder leiding van Andrea Piccini, mede-opgericht door Claudio Schiavoni. Het team stapte in 2025 over op Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 en neemt met drie identieke wagens deel in de FIA WEC, inclusief Le Mans. De #63 vervolgt de traditie van de #60 en #61, waarin onder anderen Matteo Cairoli, Claudio Schiavoni, Christian Ried, Maxime Martin, Martin Berry en Lin Hodenius actief zijn.
