De Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV/6 met startnummer 41 werd tijdens de 24 Uren van Spa-Francorchamps op 30–31 juli 1983 ingezet door Scuderia Autolodi Corse, een Italiaans team. De auto reed in divisie 2 en was uitgerust met de bekende 2,5 liter V6-motor van Alfa Romeo, goed voor een betrouwbare en competitieve prestatie in de subtop van de klasse.
De coureurs waren de Italiaan Rinaldo Drovandi, de eveneens Italiaanse Gianfranco Brancatelli en de Spanjaard Emilio Rodriguez Zapico. Samen volbrachten zij 455 ronden en behaalden daarmee een knappe zesde plaats in de divisie, net achter enkele sterkere teams en ruim binnen de finish.
Drovandi en Brancatelli waren ervaren GT-rijders met meerdere deelnames aan langeafstandsraces, terwijl Zapico meermaals uitkwam in Spaanse en Europese kampioenschappen. Hun auto kwalificeerde zich bovendien als snelste in divisie 2, met een tijd van 2:51.850 tijdens de kwalificatie.
