In 1982 nam een Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV6 met startnummer 46 deel aan de 24 Uren van Spa-Francorchamps. De auto, ingeschreven door Van Hove Mobil Smet Jet, werd bestuurd door Rinaldo Drovandi, Vito Ciardi en Roberto Croce. Ze behaalden een 14e plaats algemeen en 5e in Divisie 2 na 413 ronden op het klassieke circuit van Spa.
Rinaldo Drovandi was een ervaren toerrijder uit Italië, actief in de Europese toerwagenkampioenschappen van het begin jaren tachtig. Samen met Ciardi en Croce vormde hij in Spa 1982 een betrouwbaar trio, gericht op consistentie en finishen binnen de lange 24-uur race.
