De Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo startnummer 67 nam deel aan de 24 Uren van Le Mans 1981. Deze Gr.5-auto werd ingezet door Martini Racing en bestuurd door Beppe Gabbiani en Emanuele Pirro. Hij was uitgerust met een 1,425 l viercilinder turbo-motor en vertrok vanaf de 44e startplek met een tijd van 4:02.220.
Op 14 juni 1981 reed de wagen vijf uur lang in de race, maar raakte betrokken bij een ongeluk en moest uitvallen. Hij kwam niet verder en eindigde als DNF (Did Not Finish).
Voor Emanuele Pirro was dit zijn Le Mans-debuut. Samen met Gabbiani voltooide hij de race niet, maar dit betekende het begin van Pirro’s lange carrière, waarin hij later meerdere Le Mans-overwinningen behaalde met Audi.
