De McLaren F1 GTR met startnummer 11 behaalde op 29 maart 1998 een indrukwekkende overwinning tijdens de 1000 km van Monza. Het team Davidoff Classic, met coureurs Thomas Bscher en Geoff Lees, domineerde de race en eindigde als eerste overall. Hun McLaren F1 GTR legde 174 ronden af in iets meer dan vijf uur, met een gemiddelde snelheid van bijna 195 km/u.
