De Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 met startnummer 17 werd tijdens de Rally van Portugal 2025 bestuurd door het duo Sébastien Ogier en Vincent Landais. Deze manche van het WRC-seizoen werd verreden van 8 tot en met 11 mei en gold als de vijfde ronde van het kampioenschap. Het Franse duo wist een constante snelheid te behouden op de Portugese gravelproeven, met een sterke focus op strategisch bandenbeheer en nauwkeurige pacenotage.
Onder de motorkap van de GR Yaris Rally1 schuilt een hybride aandrijflijn bestaande uit een 1,6-liter turbomotor gecombineerd met een elektrisch boost-systeem. Het vierwielaangedreven platform levert indrukwekkende prestaties, vooral op de snelle en stoffige secties van de Portugese etappes. Toyota Gazoo Racing zette in op betrouwbaarheid en balans, waarmee de #17 competitief bleef onder wisselende omstandigheden.
