De 53e editie van de ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring 2025 leverde een beslissende zege op voor ROWE Racing. Het team won met de BMW M4 GT3 Evo met startnummer #98. De rijders waren Kelvin van der Linde, Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn en Raffaele Marciello. Het was BMW’s 21e overall-overwinning op de Nordschleife. De race kende wisselende omstandigheden en lange Code-60-fases. ROWE was de enige BMW in de SP9-topklasse. Dat vergrootte de druk. De kwalificatie verliep stroef en de auto moest van ver komen. Tracklimits en verkeer vroegen om discipline.
De technische basis van de M4 GT3 Evo is de P58 3,0-liter zes-in-lijn met dubbele turbo. Het vermogen ligt afhankelijk van de BoP tot circa 590 pk. De aandrijving verloopt via een Xtrac zestraps sequentiële transmissie. De koeling en aerodynamica zijn voor de Evo-versie verfijnd. Het pakket is ontwikkeld voor duurzaamheid en remstabiliteit. Dat bleek waardevol in de nacht en bij herstarts.
De #98 startte als 17e en reed gestaag naar voren. Strategie en pitstops waren strak en zonder fouten. In de slotfase reed de BMW vrijwel in het spoor van de leidende Manthey EMA Porsche Grello. Over de streep bedroeg het verschil slechts enkele seconden. Kort daarna volgde een tijdstraf van 100 seconden voor de Porsche na een incidentonderzoek. Hierdoor werd de officiële marge op de finish vastgesteld op 1:17.810 na 141 ronden.
De winst is sportief en commercieel betekenisvol. De M4 GT3 Evo bevestigt zijn competitieve waarde op ’s werelds lastigste circuit.
