De Lancia Delta S4 met startnummer 6 nam deel aan de legendarische Lombard RAC Rally van 1985, de laatste ronde van het Wereldkampioenschap Rally van dat jaar. Deze specifieke auto werd bestuurd door het Italiaanse duo Henri Toivonen en Sergio Cresto, rijdend voor het officiële fabrieksteam Lancia Martini Racing. De rally, bekend om zijn verraderlijke Britse boswegen en wisselende weersomstandigheden, was een ultieme test voor mens en machine.
De Delta S4 was een revolutionaire Group B-rallywagen, aangedreven door een 1.8-liter viercilindermotor met zowel een turbo als een supercharger.
