Tijdens de 24 Uur van Daytona in 1999 behaalde de Riley & Scott - Ford MK III met startnummer 20 een indrukwekkende overwinning voor het team Dyson Racing. De wagen werd bestuurd door de ervaren coureurs Butch Leitzinger, Andy Wallace en Elliott Forbes-Robinson. Met een betrouwbare strategie en constante rondetijden wisten zij de race te domineren en eindigden ze als eerste in het algemeen klassement.
De Riley & Scott MK III was uitgerust met een krachtige 6.0-liter Ford V8-motor, die zorgde voor een indrukwekkend vermogen en een kenmerkende roffel op het lange rechte stuk van Daytona.
