De Porsche 963 met startnummer 4 nam in juni 2024 deel aan de 92e editie van de 24 Uur van Le Mans, als extra inschrijving van Porsche Penske Motorsport naast de reguliere FIA WEC-deelnemers. Bestuurd door Felipe Nasr, Mathieu Jaminet en Nick Tandy, afkomstig uit het Amerikaanse IMSA-kampioenschap. De auto reed in de Hypercar-klasse en droeg een zwart-witte livery met rode accenten.
De Porsche 963 beschikt over een hybride aandrijflijn, bestaande uit een 4,6-liter twin-turbo V8 gecombineerd met een elektromotor op de vooras. Dit systeem levert samen circa 680 pk. De aandrijflijn is gekoppeld aan een sequentiële zeventraps versnellingsbak. Het chassis is ontworpen in samenwerking met Multimatic en voldoet aan de Hypercar-regels. De wagen werd voorzien van Michelin-rubber en geavanceerde elektronische systemen van Bosch.
Tijdens het 18e uur crashte Felipe Nasr bij de Indianapolis-bocht, wat het voortijdige einde betekende van de race voor de #4. Door het niet volbrengen van het vereiste aantal ronden werd de wagen niet als geklasseerd opgenomen in de einduitslag.
