De Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Coupé van modeljaar 2025 is het sportieve middelpunt van de 992.2-update. Porsche vernieuwde het model technisch en uiterlijk, met een strakkere frontpartij, aangepaste verlichting en een cockpit die verder is gedigitaliseerd. Het belangrijkste nieuws zit echter onder de motorkap: de GTS is de eerste straatlegale 911 die Porsche uitrust met een licht, prestatiegericht hybridesysteem.
De aandrijflijn heet T-Hybrid en combineert een nieuw ontwikkelde 3,6-liter zescilinder boxermotor met turbo met elektrische ondersteuning. Het systeemvermogen komt uit op 398 kW (541 pk) en 610 Nm. De turbo wordt elektrisch geholpen om sneller op te bouwen, terwijl een elektromotor in de PDK-versnellingsbak extra koppel kan leveren wanneer dat nodig is. Dit is geen plug-in hybride: het systeem is ontworpen om reactie en prestaties te verbeteren, niet om lange afstanden elektrisch te rijden.
De prestaties onderstrepen die keuze. Met het Sport Chrono Pakket geeft Porsche voor de Carrera GTS Coupé 0-100 km/u op in 3,0 seconden en een topsnelheid van 312 km/u. In het rijden draait het minder om één piekcijfer en meer om hoe direct de auto reageert bij het uitkomen van bochten en bij tussensprints, juist op momenten waarop het turbogedrag traditioneel een rol speelt.
Daarmee positioneert Porsche de 992.2 Carrera GTS als een brug tussen de reguliere Carrera’s en de meer extreme GT-modellen. De techniek voegt complexiteit toe, maar het doel is helder: een 911 die sneller en alerter aanvoelt, zonder het basisrecept te verlaten van een compacte sportwagen die dagelijks inzetbaar blijft.
