Lando Norris heeft de Grand Prix van Monaco op 25 mei 2025 gewonnen in de McLaren MCL39. Hij vertrok vanaf poleposition en behield de leiding tijdens alle 78 ronden, waarbij hij zorgvuldig inspeelde op de verplichte twee pitstops en drie verschillende bandencompounds.
Norris hield stand onder toenemende druk van Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, die hem de laatste twintig ronden op de hielen zat maar nergens een echte passeermogelijkheid vond. Het podium was identiek aan de startvolgorde: Norris voor Leclerc en McLaren-teamgenoot Oscar Piastri op positie drie.
De overwinning betekende Norris’ zesde in zijn Formule 1-carrière en zijn tweede van het seizoen, na eerdere winst in Australië. Voor McLaren was het de eerste zege in Monaco sinds Lewis Hamilton daar voor het laatst won in 2008.
Het resultaat bracht Norris tot op drie punten van teamgenoot Piastri in het wereldkampioenschap. McLaren breidde zijn voorsprong in de constructeursstand verder uit en onderstreepte zijn sterke seizoen met nu 319 punten tegenover 147 van Mercedes en 143 van Red Bull.
