De MINI John Cooper Works Cabriolet (F57) uit 2021 positioneert zich als de sportieve open variant binnen de 3e generatie MINI. Met vier zitplaatsen en een compacte buitenmaat is het model bedoeld als cabriolet die ook in dagelijks gebruik inzetbaar blijft, zonder afstand te doen van het John Cooper Works-karakter.
De aandrijving komt van een 2,0-liter viercilinder turbomotor (1998 cc) met 170 kW (231 pk) en 320 Nm, gekoppeld aan een 6-bak handgeschakeld of een 8-traps Steptronic automaat. Fabriekscijfers noemen 0–100 km/h in 6,6 s (handbak) en 6,5 s (automaat), met een topsnelheid van 242 km/h (handbak) of 241 km/h (automaat).
De update die in 2021 zichtbaar werd, legde de nadruk op details aan de buitenzijde, met wijzigingen aan de frontpartij en de achterzijde rond diffuser en uitlaat. Daarmee bleef de basis van het model herkenbaar, terwijl de vormgeving strakker werd afgestemd op de JCW-uitvoering.
