Sergio Pérez reed de Cadillac #11 tijdens de Grand Prix van Groot-Brittannië 2026 van de twintigste naar de vijftiende plaats. De Mexicaan had in de kwalificatie last van een gebrek aan grip aan de voorzijde, vooral in de snelle bochten van Silverstone. Daardoor bleef zijn tijd van 1.31,451 niet voldoende om Q2 te bereiken. In de sprintrace eerder op zaterdag was hij als 22e geëindigd, na bij een incident met Fernando Alonso betrokken te zijn geweest.
Pérez kwam bij de start van de Grand Prix goed weg en sloot aan bij de achterhoede van het middenveld. Cadillac kon op racesnelheid beter meekomen dan tijdens de eerste wedstrijden van het seizoen. De update die een week eerder in Oostenrijk was geïntroduceerd, hielp het team om het verschil met Haas en Williams te verkleinen. Pérez moest daarbij vooral Esteban Ocon en Oliver Bearman in het zicht proberen te houden.
Een kortstondige Virtual Safety Car in ronde 22 gaf Cadillac de kans om Pérez met minder tijdverlies naar de pits te halen. Hij wisselde van de medium- naar de harde band en kon daarna zijn positie consolideren. De late safetycar, veroorzaakt door de crash van Max Verstappen bij Stowe, bracht het veld opnieuw bij elkaar. Pérez kwam uiteindelijk als vijftiende over de finish, direct achter de twee Haas-coureurs en voor teamgenoot Valtteri Bottas.
Cadillac reed op Silverstone met een speciale Stars and Stripes-kleurstelling. Het ontwerp verwees naar de Amerikaanse Onafhankelijkheidsdag van 4 juli en combineerde de gebruikelijke Cadillac-kleuren met elementen van de Amerikaanse vlag. Voor Pérez leverde het weekend geen punten op, maar zijn tempo in de race liet zien dat Cadillac dichter bij de onderste helft van het middenveld was gekomen.
