De Mercedes-Benz 500 K Typ Spezial Roadster uit 1936 behoort tot de meest luxueuze en prestigieuze auto’s uit het vooroorlogse tijdperk. Deze witte uitvoering, speciaal gebouwd voor een Indiase maharadja, belichaamt pure elegantie en aristocratische grandeur. De 500 K werd aangedreven door een 5.0-liter achtcilinder lijnmotor met mechanische compressor, goed voor ongeveer 160 pk en een topsnelheid van meer dan 160 km/u – indrukwekkend voor die tijd.
De Spezial Roadster was het absolute topmodel binnen het 500 K-gamma, met vloeiende spatborden, een lange motorkap en een luxe tweezits cabrioletopbouw.
