De Ferrari 499P #83 is een hypercar uit 2024, ingezet door AFÂ Corse als klantenteam in het FIA World Endurance Championship. In het vierde kwartaal van 2025 komt Looksmart met een 1/64-model van deze racewagen.
Technisch is de 499P uitgerust met een Dallara-chassis en een hybride aandrijving: een twin-turbo V6-benzinemotor met voorwielaandrijving via een 900 V ERS-systeem. Dit ontwerp volgt de Le Mans Hypercar-regels die sinds de introductie in 2023 gelden. De wagen vormt een verdere ontwikkeling sinds Ferrari’s terugkeer naar prototypes.
De #83 werd in 2024 bemand door Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye en Robert Shwartzman. Ye (2000) is Chinees, voormalig kampioen in LMP2-klassen en maakte in 2024 zijn debuut in het WEC. Shwartzman (1999) is opgegroeid in single-seaters, ex-Ferrari-Academy-lid en maakte dat jaar zijn WEC-debuut. In de seizoenscampagne behaalde de #83 in Qatar een vierde plek en leidde tijdelijk tijdens de 24Â u van Le Mans. Na een mechanisch issue moest het team uitvallen, maar later in 2024 won de wagen de Lone Star Le Mans.
In 2025 werd de #83-Ferrari hervormd: het trio Kubica, Ye en nieuwkomer Phil Hanson (1999) vocht sterk in het hypercarveld. Tijdens de 93e 24Â u van Le Mans won het team door consistent sterk te rijden en strategisch te profiteren van fouten bij de fabrieksrivalen. Het was de derde opeenvolgende zege voor een 499P, de eerste overwinning voor Kubica, Ye en Hanson en historisch voor Kubica (eerste Poolse winnaar) en Ye (eerste Chinese winnaar). Eindscore: 14 seconden voorsprong na 387 ronden.
