In het FIA World Endurance Championship van 2024 reed de Ferrari 499P met startnummer 50 onder vlag van het fabrieksteam Ferrari AF Corse. De hypercar werd bestuurd door Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina en Nicklas Nielsen. Deze combinatie van coureurs werd behouden na hun eerdere successen en speelde opnieuw een hoofdrol in het kampioenschap. Tijdens de 24 uur van Le Mans 2024 wist de #50 met dit trio de overwinning te behalen, waarmee Ferrari zijn status in de topklasse bevestigde.
De Ferrari 499P is uitgerust met een 3,0-liter V6-twin-turbomotor, gekoppeld aan een hybride systeem met elektromotor op de vooras. Het systeemvermogen bedraagt ongeveer 500 kW (680 pk). Het chassis bestaat uit een koolstofvezel monocoque, ontwikkeld in samenwerking met Dallara. De auto maakt gebruik van een sequentiële versnellingsbak met zeven verhoudingen en vierwielaandrijving, geactiveerd vanaf 190 km/h.
AF Corse zette de 499P in met fabriekssteun van Ferrari, waarbij auto’s #50 en #51 het volledige WEC-seizoen afwerkten. De #50 boekte meerdere podiumplaatsen en eindigde het seizoen als tweede in het algemeen klassement. Naast de winst in Le Mans, werd de auto ook ingezet tijdens races in Spa, Monza, Fuji en Bahrein.
Looksmart brengt in het vierde kwartaal van 2025 een 1/64-schaalmodel uit van de Ferrari 499P #50, gebaseerd op de uitvoering zoals gereden tijdens Le Mans. Het model wordt uitgevoerd in de kenmerkende rood-gele livery. Deze uitgave richt zich op verzamelaars die waarde hechten aan schaalgetrouwheid en hoogwaardige afwerking van iconische raceauto’s.
