De Macau GT Cup, officieel de FIA GT World Cup, werd op 16 november 2025 verreden op het 6,12 km lange stratencircuit van Guia in Macau. Het weekend bestond uit een kwalificatierace van 12 ronden en een hoofdrace van 16 ronden. Antonio Fuoco zette het evenement naar zijn hand met startnummer 50 voor AF Corse SRL in de Ferrari 296 GT3. Hij pakte de polepositie in de Super Pole, won de kwalificatierace en vertrok daardoor vanaf de eerste startplaats voor de hoofdrace.
De Ferrari 296 GT3 is een GT3-wagen met een 120 graden V6 biturbo zonder hybride ondersteuning, zoals de reglementen voorschrijven. De motor is 2.992 cc groot en drijft de achterwielen aan via een sequentiële zesbak. In 2025 gold in Macau bovendien de verplichting om met koppel- of torsiesensoren te rijden, wat de controle op de aandrijflijn aanscherpte. Op Guia draaide het pakket vooral om tractie en stabiliteit in de snelle richtingwissels en bij het aanremmen van de Lisboeta en de Melco-haarspeld.
In de hoofdrace bleef Fuoco vooraan uit de problemen en hield hij de herstarts onder controle op de smalle baan met betonnen muren. Hij kwam als winnaar over de finish in 40:19.865 en zette ook de snelste ronde neer met 2:16.581. Raffaele Marciello werd tweede met een achterstand van 3.960 seconden, terwijl Laurin Heinrich als derde eindigde op 4.609 seconden.
Met de zege bezorgden Fuoco en AF Corse SRL Ferrari een overwinning in een evenement dat vaak wordt beslist op kwalificatiesnelheid en foutloos verkeer door de stad. De combinatie van korte races en weinig uitloopstroken maakt Macau gevoelig voor neutralisaties en tikjes tegen de muur. Fuoco leverde een weekend zonder straf of schade af: pole, winst in de kwalificatierace en winst in de hoofdrace, met startnummer 50 als herkenbaar detail op de 296 GT3.
