De Grand Prix van Canada 2026 werd voor Lewis Hamilton een belangrijk moment in zijn periode bij Ferrari. Op het Circuit Gilles Villeneuve reed de Brit met startnummer 44 naar de tweede plaats, achter Kimi Antonelli. De afstelling, bandenaanpak en racecontrole kwamen samen op een circuit waar hij eerder al zeven keer had gewonnen, maar nu in een heel andere fase van zijn loopbaan stond.
De Ferrari #44 van de Grand Prix van Canada 2026 staat daardoor voor meer dan een podiumplaats. Het was geen overwinning, maar wel een resultaat met betekenis: Hamilton bevestigde dat hij in Ferrari-kleuren nog altijd vooraan kon meestrijden wanneer auto, circuit en uitvoering bij elkaar kwamen.
