Voor Charles Leclerc betekende de Grand Prix van Italië 2025 opnieuw een belangrijk optreden voor Ferrari op eigen bodem. De SF-25 was voorbereid met een lage downforce-afstelling om voordeel te halen uit de lange rechte stukken van Monza. De verwachtingen waren hoog, zeker voor Leclerc, die in eerdere jaren vaak sterk voor de dag kwam in Italië.
In de kwalificatie behaalde Leclerc een startplaats op de derde startrij. Daarmee had hij een betere uitgangspositie dan teamgenoot Lewis Hamilton, die door een gridstraf terugviel. Leclerc kon zich daardoor mengen in de strijd om de plaatsen net achter de topteams. Het circuit, met hoge snelheden en harde remzones, vroeg veel van de balans van de auto, en de SF-25 bleef zichtbaar tekortkomen in de technische secties.
Tijdens de race hield Leclerc een constant tempo en wist hij zijn positie vast te houden in de subtop. Hij profiteerde van de kracht van de Ferrari-motor op de rechte stukken, maar verloor tijd in de tweede sector waar meer aerodynamische grip nodig was. Uiteindelijk kwam hij als vierde over de finishlijn, achter Lando Norris en voor Sergio Pérez. Daarmee leverde hij Ferrari het beste resultaat van het weekend, maar het podium bleef buiten bereik.
Het optreden van Leclerc in Monza bevestigde de status van de SF-25: competitief genoeg om voorin mee te draaien, maar nog niet op het niveau van Red Bull en McLaren. Voor Ferrari leverde de vierde plaats waardevolle punten op in het constructeurskampioenschap. Voor Leclerc betekende het opnieuw een solide resultaat, al bleef het Italiaanse publiek wachten op de felbegeerde overwinning in de thuisrace.
