De Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 met startnummer 18 nam in januari 2025 deel aan de Rallye Monte-Carlo. Deze auto werd bestuurd door Takamoto Katsuta, met Aaron Johnston als bijrijder. Beiden kwamen uit voor Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT. De Rallye Monte-Carlo opende het WRC-seizoen van 2025 en werd verreden onder wisselende weersomstandigheden. Katsuta moest de strijd voortijdig staken na een crash op proef SS17.
De Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 voldoet aan het Rally1-reglement en is uitgerust met een 1,6-liter turbomotor in combinatie met een hybride systeem. Vierwielaandrijving, een sequentiële versnellingsbak en onafhankelijke wielophanging maken deel uit van de uitrusting. In 2025 reden alle WRC-auto's voor het eerst op banden van Hankook, een detail dat ook op het model zichtbaar is.
Toyota zette vier auto’s in tijdens de rally. De auto met startnummer 18 was specifiek aan Katsuta toegewezen. Zijn teamgenoten waren Sébastien Ogier (#17), Elfyn Evans (#33) en Kalle Rovanperä (#69). Ogier won de rally, terwijl Katsuta geen eindklassering behaalde.
IXO-Models brengt deze uitvoering uit in schaal 1:43. Het model wordt geleverd op een standaard met opschrift en is voorzien van het juiste startnummer. De beschikbaarheid is gepland voor het vierde kwartaal van 2025.
