Tijdens de prestigieuze Ypres Rally 2024, een klassieker binnen het Belgisch rallykampioenschap en een vaste waarde op de internationale rallykalender, verschenen Maxime Potty en zijn co-piloot Renaud Herman aan de start met een krachtige Toyota GR Yaris Rally2. Deze moderne rallywagen, ontwikkeld door Toyota Gazoo Racing, is gebouwd volgens het FIA Rally2-reglement en ontworpen voor topprestaties op uitdagend asfalt.
De GR Yaris Rally2 beschikt over een 1.6-liter turbomotor met vierwielaandrijving, een sequentiële versnellingsbak en rallyspec-ophanging. Dankzij zijn compacte formaat en uitgebalanceerde chassis is de wagen bijzonder geschikt voor het snelle en bochtige parcours rond Ieper, met zijn smalle landbouwwegen en verraderlijke gripomstandigheden.
