Sébastien Ogier en Vincent Landais wonnen de Rally Chile BioBío 2025 met de Toyota GR Yaris Rally1. De wedstrijd vormde de elfde ronde van het WRC-seizoen en werd verreden van 11 tot en met 14 september rond Concepción, op snelle gravelproeven in de regio Biobío. Voor Ogier was het een overwinning met gewicht, want hij bleef teamgenoot Elfyn Evans voor en bezorgde Toyota opnieuw een één-twee.
De rally vroeg om precisie. De Chileense gravelwegen zijn vloeiend en snel, maar regen maakte delen van het parcours modderig en verraderlijk. Ogier en Landais bleven in die wisselende omstandigheden rustig. Waar anderen tijd verloren door de gripwisselingen, bouwde het Franse duo zijn wedstrijd stap voor stap op.
Toyota Gazoo Racing haalde met deze zege een belangrijk resultaat binnen. Ogier won niet alleen de rally, maar was ook de snelste op Super Sunday en in de Power Stage. Daarmee pakte hij extra punten en zette hij zijn sterke deeltijdse campagne in 2025 voort. Landais speelde daarbij een vaste rol met strak en gecontroleerd navigatiewerk.
De Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 stond in Chili opnieuw bekend als een stabiele en effectieve auto op gravel. Voor verzamelaars is deze uitvoering interessant door de combinatie van Ogier, Landais, Toyota Gazoo Racing en de Zuid-Amerikaanse WRC-ronde. De Rally Chile 2025 werd daarmee een herkenbaar hoofdstuk in Toyota’s moderne rallygeschiedenis.
