De Nissan GT-R R35 was in 2024 al lang geen nieuw gezicht meer, maar de Premium Edition T-Spec in Millennium Jade gaf het model opnieuw een duidelijke plaats in de schijnwerpers. De kleur verwijst naar de zeldzame R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nür en past daardoor precies bij de liefhebbers die de GT-R niet alleen als snelle coupé zien, maar als onderdeel van een langere Japanse sportwagengeschiedenis.
Onder de motorkap ligt de bekende VR38DETT, een 3,8 liter V6 met twee turbo’s. In de T-Spec levert deze motor 565 hp, gekoppeld aan een zestraps transmissie met dubbele koppeling en het ATTESA E-TS vierwielaandrijvingssysteem. Dat technische recept was in 2007 vooruitstrevend en voelde ook in 2024 nog altijd doelgericht aan: veel grip, snelle reacties en een auto die zijn vermogen zonder veel theater op het asfalt zet.
De T-Spec onderscheidt zich vooral in de details. De goudkleurige Rays gesmede wielen, speciale emblemen en bredere voorspatborden geven de auto net genoeg afstand tot de reguliere Premium-uitvoering. De aangepaste aerodynamica van het 2024-model, met herziene bumpers en meer aandacht voor luchtgeleiding, maakte de R35 bovendien iets verfijnder zonder het herkenbare GT-R-profiel kwijt te raken.
Millennium Jade maakt deze uitvoering bijzonder interessant voor verzamelaars en GT-R-kenners. Niet omdat de auto technisch radicaal anders is, maar omdat Nissan met deze kleur en uitvoering bewust teruggrijpt op een van de meest gezochte hoofdstukken uit de Skyline GT-R-historie. De 2024 GT-R T-Spec voelt daardoor als een zorgvuldig samengesteld slotakkoord voor een model dat bijna twee decennia lang zijn eigen koers bleef varen.
