De Porsche 911 RWB Gundam Green uit 2024 past in de eigenzinnige wereld van Rauh-Welt Begriff, beter bekend als RWB. Het Japanse bedrijf van Akira Nakai bouwt geen standaard tuningprojecten, maar individuele 911’s met een duidelijke handtekening: breed, laag en herkenbaar vanaf de eerste blik.
De basis voor deze uitvoering is een Porsche 911 van de 964-generatie. De auto kreeg een brede RWB-bodykit met uitgeklopte wielkasten, zichtbare bevestigingen, diepe velgen en een lage stance. De groene kleur geeft de Gundam-uitvoering een opvallend uiterlijk, zonder dat het karakter van de klassieke 911 volledig verdwijnt.
Onderhuids blijft de 964 trouw aan de basis van Porsche, met een luchtgekoelde zescilinder boxermotor achterin. Juist die combinatie maakt een RWB interessant: de techniek en proporties van een klassieke 911, gecombineerd met een carrosserie die duidelijk uit de Japanse tuningcultuur komt.
De RWB Gundam Green is daarmee geen fabrieks-Porsche en ook geen raceauto in traditionele zin. Het is een persoonlijke interpretatie van de 911, gebouwd rond uitstraling, houding en detail. Voor verzamelaars is vooral die eigen identiteit aantrekkelijk: een Porsche die herkenbaar blijft, maar duidelijk buiten de standaardcatalogus valt.
