De Andretti Formula E-auto met startnummer 28 werd in 2025 gekoppeld aan Felipe Drugovich als onderdeel van de bezetting voor Season 12 (2025/26). Daarmee begon zijn vaste programma bij Andretti in het kalenderjaar 2025 aan het einde van het jaar, toen het seizoen in São Paulo werd afgetrapt. Voor Andretti betekende #28 een nieuwe referentie naast de vertrouwde #27, met als doel snel ritme op te bouwen in kwalificatie en racepace.
Technisch rijdt Andretti met Porsche-klantmateriaal, door Formula E aangeduid als de Porsche 99X Electric. De aandrijving is volledig elektrisch en binnen Gen3/Gen3 Evo zijn de prestatiedifferenties sterk gekoppeld aan software, energiemanagement en regeneratie in plaats van mechanische vrijheid. Voor #28 lag de nadruk in 2025 daarom op het optimaliseren van energieverbruik per ronde, het plannen van Attack Mode-momenten en het beperken van tijdverlies in verkeer en bij herstarts.
In de São Paulo E-Prix op 06-12-2025 verliep de eerste wedstrijddag van Drugovich bij Andretti niet foutloos. In de kwalificatie raakte hij de muur, waardoor de uitgangspositie onder druk kwam te staan. In de race werkte hij zich alsnog naar voren, maar de eindklassering bleef buiten de punten. Het weekend liet vooral zien waar de marges in Formula E liggen: één fout in kwalificatie kan de hele wedstrijddag bepalen, ook als het tempo in de race bruikbaar is.
