De Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 992) met startnummer 14 van Daniel Ros werd in 2025 het herkenningspunt van Fragus Motorsport in de Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia. Het seizoen liep van 9–10 mei (Anderstorp) tot 19–20 september (Mantorp Park) en Ros pakte de titel op basis van een constante puntenopbouw over de races, met 240 punten in de eindstand. In de aanloop naar de campagne zette hij bovendien de toon met de snelste ronde die tot dan toe met een 911 GT3 Cup op Mantorp Park was gereden tijdens een pre-season test.
De 992 GT3 Cup is gebouwd rond een 3.996 cc watergekoelde zescilinder boxer zonder turbo. In cup-specificatie levert de motor 375 kW (510 pk) en 470 Nm, gekoppeld aan een zesversnellings sequentiële transmissie. Dat pakket is gemaakt om ronde na ronde hetzelfde karakter te houden, met hoge toerentallen en een aandrijflijn die vooral betrouwbaar moet blijven in korte, intensieve sprintwedstrijden.
Op de baan draait de #14 om balans en remstabiliteit. De Type 992 Cup-auto gebruikt een duidelijke aerodynamische set-up met vaste componenten, waardoor afstelling en rijstijl sterk bepalen hoe lang de achterbanden in een bruikbaar venster blijven. In de Carrera Cup Scandinavia, met circuits die variëren van Anderstorp tot Mantorp, levert dat een wedstrijd op waarin kwalificatie, startfase en het vermijden van tijdverlies in verkeer vaak net zo beslissend zijn als pure rondetijd.
De titel van 2025 geeft de #14 een concrete plaats in de recente historie van de serie: een seizoensauto die niet op één uitschieter leunde, maar op herhaalbaar tempo en punten in vrijwel elk weekend. Daarmee staat deze 911 GT3 Cup vooral voor het moderne Cup-concept: een identieke basis voor iedereen, maar met genoeg marge in uitvoering om een kampioenschap te winnen op detail en discipline.
