De Grand Prix van Canada 2026 werd voor Lewis Hamilton een belangrijk moment in zijn periode bij Ferrari. Op het Circuit Gilles Villeneuve reed de Brit met startnummer 44 naar de tweede plaats, achter Kimi Antonelli. Het was zijn beste Grand Prix-resultaat voor Ferrari tot dan toe en een duidelijke stap vooruit na een moeizame aanloop in het seizoen.

De Ferrari #44 van de Grand Prix van Canada 2026 staat daardoor voor meer dan een podiumplaats. Het was geen overwinning, maar wel een resultaat met betekenis: Hamilton bevestigde dat hij in Ferrari-kleuren nog altijd vooraan kon meestrijden wanneer auto, circuit en uitvoering bij elkaar kwamen.
