De Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta werd in 2016 gepresenteerd als open variant van de eerder gelanceerde LaFerrari. Deze exclusieve hypercar werd ontwikkeld ter gelegenheid van het 70-jarig jubileum van Ferrari en was uitsluitend beschikbaar voor een selecte groep klanten. In totaal werden 210 exemplaren gebouwd, waarvan 200 verkocht aan klanten en 9 voor fabrieksgebruik. De combinatie van technologie uit de Formule 1 en een compromisloos ontwerp resulteerde in een auto die prestaties koppelde aan exclusiviteit.
De aandrijving bestaat uit een atmosferische 6,3-liter V12-motor die 800 pk levert bij 9.000 toeren per minuut. Deze wordt ondersteund door een HY-KERS elektromotor die 163 pk toevoegt, wat het totaal op 963 pk brengt. De kracht wordt overgebracht via een 7-traps dual-clutch transmissie. Acceleratie van 0 naar 100 km/u duurt minder dan 3 seconden en de topsnelheid ligt boven de 350 km/u. De Aperta behoudt de structurele stijfheid van de coupé dankzij extra verstevigingen in het chassis.
De carrosserie van de LaFerrari Aperta is grotendeels uit koolstofvezel opgebouwd en is geoptimaliseerd voor zowel aerodynamica als thermische efficiëntie. De uitvoering in Rosso Corsa 322 benadrukt het sportieve karakter van de auto en verwijst naar Ferrari's rijke racehistorie. In tegenstelling tot veel andere cabrio's is er bij de Aperta nauwelijks sprake van prestatieverlies ten opzichte van de gesloten versie.
De LaFerrari Aperta werd wereldwijd uitsluitend geleverd aan trouwe Ferrari-klanten die al meerdere modellen bezaten. Elk exemplaar werd gepersonaliseerd naar wens van de koper, maar de configuratie in Rosso Corsa 322 met zwarte accenten blijft een van de meest herkenbare. Door de beperkte productie en het technische niveau geldt deze auto nu al als een icoon binnen de moderne Ferrari-geschiedenis.

A diecast generally uses sustainable materials that not only ensure a long life for your valuable model, but are also recyclable at there end of life.
